Former St. Peter Presbyterian Church attendee Dennis Cochran, also known as "Dennis the Poet," has written some new lyrics for Nirvana tune, Smells Like Teen Spirit. He's entitled his new song, Smells Like Cult Leader, in honor of the defrocking of his former pastors RC Sproul Jr and Laurence Windham.

RC Sproul, Jr. and Laurence Windham are pastors at St. Peter Presbyterian Church in Mendota Virginia and Bristol Virginia.

Every Thought Captive Boy Who Wouldn't Hoe CornLike so many other victims of RC Sproul Jr.'s slanders, Dennis Cochran was smeared in a "slanderfest" as "The Boy Who Wouldn't Hoe Corn" in the May/June 2004 edition of the Highland's Study Center publication Every Thought Captive. Dennis was caricatured in a very mocking fashion on the front cover of that Every Thought Captive edition.

Like so many others, Dennis Cochran was "lured" to Bristol, Virginia by RC's teaching. But after a brief time at St. Peter Presbyterian Church, Dennis became of the opinion that RC Sproul Jr. and Laurence Windham were cult leaders, and that St. Peter wasn't a Presbyterian Church, but a cult.

Smells Like Cult Leader

-Musical Satire-

(sung to the Nirvana tune Smells Like Teen Spirit)
lyrics by Dennis W. Cochran
January 15 and 16, 2006

The only son of R.C. Sproul
A little punk who loves control
He’s overblown, sick, selfish, cruel
And many are the souls he’s fooled

How low, how low, how low Sproul goes
How low, how low, how low Sproul goes
How low, how low, how low Sproul goes
How low, how low. Oh no

He’s no “junior.” He’s no pastor
R. Craig Sproul is a disaster
He wants zombies he can master
R. Craig Sproul is a disaster
A cult leader. A sheep beater
Spikes the Kool-Aid by the liter

Prey may stay

Through lies and threats he keeps some sheep
Who want to leave but fear runs deep
Will R. Charles look the other way
‘Til sonny boy meets judgement day?

How low, how low, how low Sproul goes
How low, how low, how low Sproul goes
How low, how low, how low Sproul goes
How low, how low. Oh no

He’s no “junior.” He’s no pastor
R. Craig Sproul is a disaster
He wants zombies he can master
R. Craig Sproul is a disaster
A cult leader. A sheep beater
Spikes the Kool-Aid by the liter

Prey may stay

How dare I mock the sacred cow!
Some just won’t see. Not even now
That he’s exposed. The self-made Pope
But with hard truth some never cope

How low, how low, how low Sproul goes
How low, how low, how low Sproul goes
How low, how low, how low Sproul goes
How low, how low. Oh no

He’s no “junior.” He’s no pastor
R. Craig Sproul is a disaster
He wants zombies he can master
R. Craig Sproul is a disaster
A cult leader. A sheep beater
Spikes the Kool-Aid by the liter

With his bile and denial
Vicious guile is his style
He could smile a long while
At the pile of things vile
So defiled
